Charlottesville, Virginia/Carter's Mountain Orchard
Since moving to Virginia we have gotten to know two other couples and their families that are also going through the same program as my Michael. They are fun and seem to have the same adventurous spirit as I have so we feel pretty lucky to be sharing this experience in Virginia with them. The first couple is Ali and Tony and the other is Margaret and John with their beautiful children Avery and Chason.
Ali and Tony had gone to Carter Mountain Orchard the weekend before while parents were visiting and they liked it so much they encouraged us to go. Luckily they were game to come along the very next weekend.
Carter's only ended up being a 12 minute drive from our place so it made for a very easy trip. We spent the afternoon drinking cider and picking peaches. It was a gorgeous day!

When we got home from the orchard we had a big dinner together and ended a wonderful day with food, sangria, peach pies and apple pies! I'm looking forward to more adventures with these lovely people.
